ArtAqua’s Air filters are perfectly suitable for passenger aircraft such like Boeing or Airbus jets.

This is based on information of picture 1.

Concerning usage of ArtAqua`s ArpackAirClean Tiokraft Technology we understood one thing – it is one of the most complex systems.

What we focus on at the very beginning is only a small part of it, which is concerning the airflow from the compressors.

It had to be decided where to put (insert) our Photocatalic Filters practically (picture 1), and this had to be checked carefully.

Fortunately, the aircraft has an air circulation system within which we can save large energy costs for the air supply (Pictures 2 and 3).

Air pollution will come from inside the aircraft – in the form of human waste products – as well as from outside – through the ingress of exhaust gases at airports and by anti-icing fluids. Ozone is also a pollutant. In addition to the ozone level, the limit content is monitored: carbon
monoxide, Nitrogen oxides, fuels, various oils and carbon dioxide.

HEPA filters, which capture various viruses and bacteria, fight internal pollution.

Wherever HEPA filters are located (picture 2), we can develop or offer our photocatalytists (or our devices) for disinfection and odor removal in the same dimensions as with HEPA filters.

Why will photocatalysis (of our filter systems) be better than HEPA filters:

1. We don’t accumulate pathogens in filters. We do not have the problem of volley (volley) discharge to the outside (this is in the aircraft interior where passengers are sitting) of accumulated microflora when the system is switched on and off, as when using HEPA filters.

2. HEPA filters have a significantly higher air flow resistance (energy saving).

3. There is a problem of the efficiency of HEPA filters deteriorating over time. HEPA should be changed at least every 6 months. This will cost a lot of money.

4. We remove organic odors, allergens, ozone, singlet oxygen (this is very important for airplanes) without injection or accumulation.

A modification of our photocatalytic filter elements is also possible to remove carbon monoxide.
